DTD Shortlet Homes: Terms, Conditions and Policies
Whereas these terms and conditions form a binding agreement that the undersigned is a paying guest for short let stay and not a tenant thus is only availed to the rights at law for a hotel guest including but not limited to the following:
1. General Information
– Check-In/Check-Out Times:
o Check-in: 2:00 pm WAT on the day of arrival.
o Check-out: 12:30 noon on the day of departure,
o Late check-out is 4:00 pm for domestic guests
o Late check-out at 6:00 pm for international guests.
o Late check-outs are subject to additional fees of N5,000:00 and must be pre-arranged.
– Maximum Occupancy:
o A maximum of two (2) guests are allowed per suite or eight (8) guests are allowed for the entire property overnight. Exceeding this limit violates the Health and Safety policy and may result in immediate termination of the stay. Where lodged guests receive visitors that exceed this amount the visitors may only stay for no more than an hour subject to approval by management
o Minors may only be allowed on premises when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
2. Booking and Payments
– Reservation Confirmation:
o A reservation is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment or a deposit as specified in the booking terms.
o Full payment must be received a day before check-in unless otherwise agreed.
– Cancellation Policy:
o Cancellations made 48 hours before check-in will receive a full refund.
o Cancellations made within 24 hours of check-in will incur a 15% cancellation fee.
o No-shows or early departures are non-refundable.
– Security Deposit:
o A refundable security deposit of up to N50,000.00 is required for a stay of over three nights and N100,000.00 for an indoor event. This is payable at the time of booking/check-in.
o The deposit will be refunded within 24 hours of check-out, provided no damages or policy violations occur.
o Expenses made or needed to be made by management as a result of the actions of the guest will be deducted before a refund is effected and where the amount is inadequate management will resort to legal actions to recuperate the losses incurred which may include the seizure of any property of the guests on the property at that time as collateral.
3. House Rules
– Noise Policy:
o Quiet hours are from 10P.M to 9 A.M. Excessive noise during these hours will result in warnings or penalties.
o Parties or events are strictly prohibited unless prior agreement or consent is given by the Management.
– Smoking Policy:
o Smoking is prohibited inside the property.
o Zero tolerance for the consumption or the use of banned or legally controlled substances on the premises. Guests will be asked to vacate the premises without a refund and may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities if in violation.
– Pet Policy:
o Pets are not allowed, Property Use:
o The property is to be used for residential purposes only. Guests shall not engage in illegal activities or any activity that could cause damage to the property or disturb neighbours.
– Damage and Loss:
o Guests are responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during their stay. The cost of repairs or replacements will be deducted from the
security deposit.
o Any loss of keys, access cards, or other property items will result in a replacement fee of N5,000.00
– Video Recording:
o When for commercial purposes or pecuniary gains the creation of media including but not limited to videos and pictures on the premises and or depicting the premises is prohibited and subject to civil action. Media used to trend on social media depicting the lodging and identifying it are also within this category
o Personal videos/pictures must also not contain the images of staff and other guests without the prior consent of the individuals in question.
o Personal media that puts the lodge in negative light without justification will also be subject civil and criminal actions in court.
– Guns and Firearms:
o The possession and use of unlicensed firearms on the premises is expressly prohibited. Guests will be asked to vacate the premises without a refund and may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities if in violation.
o Consent must be obtained from management BEFORE licensed arms may be brought on the premises under the conditions given by management.
– Crimes:
o Guests will be asked to vacate the premises without a refund and may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities if in violation for any criminal actions of any sort committed on or around the premises of the lodge.
4. Health and Safety
– Emergency Procedures:
o Guests should familiarize themselves with the location of fire exits, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits.
o In case of emergency, dial +234 811 0141 742.
– Cleanliness:
o The property will be thoroughly cleaned before each guest’s arrival. Daily housekeeping services are included and can be requested for an additional fee. o Guests are expected to dispose of their rubbish in designated bins.
– Security:
o Guests are advised to lock doors and windows when leaving the property.
o The property is equipped with CCTV Security Systems to ensure guest safety. Tampering with or disabling security systems is strictly prohibited.
5. Liability
– Personal Belongings:
o The Management is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings. o Items of high value and large amounts of physical cash are not allowed on the premises an guest are advised to deposit such in financial institutions or other venues with adequate security as management will not be liable for the loss or damages of of such in any form whether declared beforehand or otherwise.
– Injury or Accidents:
o Whilst we have put reasonable measures to mitigate against injury or accident to our esteemed guest, the Management is not liable for injuries or accidents that occur during your stay at the property. Guests use the premises at their own risk.
o Management is not liable for any events that may occur during the stay resulting from prior health conditions of guests. Guests are strongly advised to give notice of these conditions beforehand.
6. Additional Services and Amenities
– Wi-Fi and Internet Use:
o Complimentary Wi-Fi may be provided subject to availability and convenience of management. Guests must not use the internet connection for illegal downloads or activities.
– Parking:
o Onsite parking is only available for only two small-medium vehicles on a first-come, first-serve basis. Free on-street parking is also available.
– Additional Services:
o Additional services such as airport transfers, local tours, or special arrangements can be provided upon request for an additional fee.
8. Violation of Policy
– Penalties:
o Violations of any part of this policy may result in immediate eviction without refund, forfeiture of the security deposit, and additional charges as necessary.
o Any acts done in bad faith shall be deemed as a violation and subject to same.
– Termination of Stay:
o Management reserves the right to terminate a guest’s stay at any time for serious violations of this policy.
– Non Renewal of Stay
o Management reserves the right not to renew the stay of any guests once the duration of stay has expired. This right inalienable and valid even where the guest has not breached any terms of stay or the peace of the establishment.
